- Oil Leak - Engine oil leaks out from something in the valley, under the turbo, or possibly from the back of the engine. I have not been able to pinpoint it and have been just putting up with it. It leaks out from the clutch inspection cover area. On the plus side, it keeps your trailers from getting rusty. It leaks about 1 gal in 3000 miles. Nothing minor, I'll admit, but it hasn't seamed to get any worse although I don't drive it much anymore.
- Suffered some front end damage in a fender-bender by the original owner (we were told). The sheet metal in front of the engine was replaced and I imagine the hood and front fenders. It looks and drives good though. There are only two other very small dents on the truck that I know of. You have to look pretty hard to see them.
- One piece of molding on the passenger side recently came off, but I have it. I shouldn't be too big of a deal to have it put back on.
- Be sure to check out the exhaust system. What you see is all you get if you know what I mean... If this is going to be a problem in your state, then please condider this.
- Chick Magnet - You will be overwelmed with ladies. My brother and I both ended up married after owning this thing...
I am the third owner of this truck (my brother was the second and basically had it parked in his garage while he drove his work truck). I have done all the maintence on this myself for the last 100,000 miles and have all the records/receipts that I will pass on. I did all of the modifications as you will see in the links below. You should know that I am working on my third engineering degree and consider myself a machinist/trucker. You will not be dissapointed with the quality of work of all the mods... Except for the guage pod that has been unfinished for 4 years now that I'm not real proud of.
The following are some pages from my old website that should give you some history of the truck and what she has under the hood...
Power Smoke Adventures (truck modifications, and the stories that made them necessary):
Dead Wagon (A day in the life of being white trash and having to drive an old dodge)
Guages (because I like my exhaust valves)
